Rain and Snow Predicted in Jammu & Kashmir from March 13-15, Dry Weather Expected After March 17

The Meteorological Centre Srinagar has predicted rain and snowfall in Jammu and Kashmir from March 13 to 15.

According to the forecast, intermittent spells of light to moderate rain/snow are expected at most places during this period. On March 16, intermittent light rain/snow is predicted at few places in the morning, with improvement in the afternoon.

Thereafter, the weather is expected to remain generally dry from March 17 to 24, with cloudiness on March 19.

The MET Centre has also issued advisories for travelers, tourists, transporters, and farmers. “Travelers, tourists, and transporters are advised to follow administrative and traffic advisories,” it said.

Farmers have been advised to suspend farm operations until March 16. The MeT Centre has also warned people to avoid sloppy and avalanche-prone areas, and be cautious of landslides, mudslides, and shooting stones at vulnerable spots.

Met Predicts Rain and Snow at Isolated to Scattered Places in Jammu and Kashmir J&K today

The Met Centre Srinagar has forecast cloudy weather with light rain and snowfall at isolated to scattered places in Jammu and Kashmir today, particularly in the higher reaches.

“The weather on November 30 will be generally cloudy, with light rain or snow expected at isolated to scattered places, especially in higher reaches,” the MET Centre stated.

Looking ahead, the MET Centre predicted, “Partly cloudy skies with light rain or snow are likely at isolated places on December 1. From the evening of December 2 to the morning of December 3, scattered places may experience light rain or snowfall under generally cloudy conditions.

The forecast also highlights periods of dry weather from December 4 to 7, with a brief return of light rain or snow in isolated places on December 8, followed by another dry spell on December 9 and 10.

Tourists, travelers, and transporters have been urged to follow administrative and traffic advisories to ensure safety during periods of inclement weather, it added. (KNS)
