KPDCL Announces Multiple Power Shutdowns Across Budgam, Baramulla, Anantnag and Pulwama on 8–16 December

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, shutdown of 33 KV Budgam SIDCO line and 33 KV Budgam Ichgam line will be observed due to which power supply to Budgam Town, Ompora, Housing Colony, Nasurallahpora, Jawalapora , Ichgam, Ichkoot, Choon, Kanir, Hushur, Zuhamma, Hanjoora, Substation NKC (Ring Road) and adjoining areas will be affected from 09:30 AM to 03:30 PM on 08 December, 2025.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Similarly, shutdown of 33 KV Ahmadpora Magam line will be observed due to which power supply to Mazhama Old Sanoora, Aripanthan, Magam, Weriahama Budren and adjoining areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 03:30 PM on 08 December, 2025.

Likewise, shutdown of 132 KV D/C IRCON-Budgam Transmission line, 33 KV Budgam feeder and 33 KV Ichgam-Budgam feeder will be observed due to which power supply to Traction Substation Budgam (Railway), Budgam Town, Ompora, Housing Colony, Nasurallahpora, Jawalapora, Ichgam, Ichkoot, Choon, Kanir, Hushur, Zuhamma, Hanjoora, Substation NKC (Ring Road) and adjoining areas will be affected from 09:30 AM to 03:30 PM on 08 December, 2025.

Similarly, shutdown of 33 KV Amargargh Watergam line and 33 KV Sheeri Baramulla-1st line will be observed due to which power supply to Watergam, Hachipora, Hadipora, Safalpora, Ganapora, Kralgund and Khawajabagh, Kanthbagh, Ushkara, Sangri, Main Town Baramulla, Dewanbagh, Kanlibagh, Khanpora and adjoining areas will be affected from 09:30 AM to 03.30 PM on 09 December, 2025.

Likewise, shutdown of 33 KV Khiram Tap line will be observed due to which power supply to Khiram, Mahind, Sirhama, Shalgul, Nowhara and adjoining aras will be affected from 09.30 AM to 03.30 PM on 11 December, 2025.

Furthermore, shutdown of 33 KV Wanpoh-SICOP line will be observed due to which power supply to Bijbehara, Shamsipora, Veeri, Nowbugh, Guree, Kanelwan, Srigufwara, Cheeniwooder and adjoining areas will be affected from 09.30 AM to 03.30 PM on 09 December, 2025.

Similarly, shutdown of 33 KV Sangam New Tap line will be observed due to which power supply to Sangam, Bijbehara, Wapzan, Waghama, Khelan, Rakh, Batpora and adjoining areas will be affected from 11.00 AM to 02.00 PM on 09 December, 2025
Similarly, Dandipora receiving station shall remain off due to which power supply to Larnoo, Vailoo, Dandipora and adjoining areas will be affected from 09.00 AM to 03.30 PM on 08 December, 2025.

Likewise, shutdown of 33 kV Lassipora-Landoora line and 33 KV Lassipora-Reshipora line will be observed due to which power supply to Landoora, Watchi, Babapora, Momen, Hermain, Hajipora, Chakoora, Frisal, Zainapora, Chitragam, Rebban, Awnera, Sugan, Agalr, Nagbal, Turkwangam and adjoining areas will be affected from 10.00 AM to 03.00 PM on 09, 13 and 16 December, 2025.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution KPDCL, power shutdown of 33 KV Alasteng-Nagbal line will be observed due to which Alasteng, Nagbal, Gadoora, Tulbagh, and Saloora receiving stations shall remain off while power supply to Shuhama, Bakura, Darend, Nagbal, Fatehpora, Gadoora, Tulbagh, Chunduna, Shairpathri and adjoining areas will be affected from 09.00 AM to 03.30 PM on 29 OCTOBER 2025.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Similarly, power shutdown of 33 KV Alasteng-Power House line, 33 KV Kangan-Surfraw line and 33 KV Kangan-Kangan lin will be observed due to which Powerhouse, Manigam, Duderhama, Contingency plant, Surfraw, Gagangeer, PDC Kangan and Kangan receiving stations shall remain off while power supply to Beehama, Arampora, Arch, Nunner, Manigam, Duderhama, Malshaibagh, Wayil, Gutlibagh, Gund, Kullan, Gagangeer, Sonamarg, Fraw, Ganiwan, Mammer, Wangath, Kangan, Akhal, Baba Nagr and adjoining areas will be affected from 09.00 AM to 03.30 PM on 30 October, 2025.

Likewise, shutdown of 33 KV Kangan-Wussan line will be observed due to which Wussan receiving station shall remain off while power supply to Wussan, Preng, Manigam, Haripora and adjoining areas will be affected from 09.00 AM to 03.30 PM on 1st November 2025.

Furthermore, shutdown of 33 KV Potushai-Gurez line will be observed due to which Dawar receiving station shall remain off while power supply to Dawar, Peerbaba, Tragbal, Wanpora and adjoining areas will be affected from 09.00 AM to 03.30 PM on 29 to 31 October, 2025.

Power Shutdowns Announced in Various Areas of Kashmir: Chief Engineer, Distribution and KPDCL

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, in order to carry out Stabilization/ improvement of 33 KV Badampora and MLRI works at Receiving Station Safapora, the shutdown of 33KV Badampora Safapora Tap Line shall be observed due to which Receiving Station at Safapora shall remain off while power supply to the Safapora, Gratbal, Jarakobagh, Manasbal areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM on 20 & 25 January, 2025.

Similarly, to carry out the work of replacing of wooden deteriorated / under size with new 11 mtr long ST Poles in the marshy land behind MED Shalteng and to stabilize the 33 KV HMT and 33 KV Narbal Line, the shutdown of 33KV Sharifabad-Narbal Line Sharifabad-HMT Line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Zainakote, Shalteng, Bakshipora, Narbal and Sanoor shall remain off while the power supply to the Narbal, Mazhama, Sanoor, Malpora, Kawoosa, Sozeith, Lawaypora, Zainakote, ICCC, Industrial HMT Shalteng, Mujgund and Bakshipora will be affected from 12:00 Noon to 04:00 PM on 21 January, 2025.

Also, to carry out commissioning of newly created/ realigned portion of 33 KV Pampore-Khrew line at Tulbagh Pampore, the shutdown of 33KV Pampore-Khrew line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Khrew-1st and 2nd, Shar Shali and Auxiliary TLMD-IV shall remain off while the power supply to the Khrew, Barthan, PHE/Hospital, Shar A, Shar B and Wahab Sahab areas will be affected from 11:00 AM to 04:00 PM on 20 January, 2025.

Further, to carry out twining of conductor on Arampora Line, the shutdown of 33KV Amargarh Bandipora line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Watlab, Tujjar and Dooru shall remain off while the power supply to the Watlab, Tujjar, Dooru and adjoining areas will be affected from 10:30 AM to 03:30 PM on 21 January, 2025.

Moreover, to facilitate the shifting of 33 KV Ichgam-Kanir Tap line permanently through underground at Ichkoot and installation of isolator on 33 KV Ichgam-Kanir Tap line, the shutdown of 33KV Kanir Tap Line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Kanir and Hanjoora shall remain off while the power supply to the Barwah, Zoohama, Kanir, Hushroo, Dadompora and adjoining areas will be affected from 12:00 Noon to 03:00 PM on 22 January, 2025.

In order to carry out the works of erection of 13 mtr long ST Poles from Receiving Station Arizal to Sukhnag of 33 KV Arizal Tap line, the shutdown of 33KV Arizal Tap Line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Station at Arizal shall remain off while the power supply to the Zainigam, Doodhpathri, Raiyar, Arizal and adjoining areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM on 21, 23 & 25 January, 2025.
