Omar Abdullah Mourns Kathua Landslide Victims, Orders Immediate Relief and Rescue for Affected Families

Chief Minister Omar Abdullah on Sunday expressed deep sorrow over the tragic loss of lives and extensive damage caused by landslides in several parts of Kathua district, including Jodh Khad and Juthana villages. The disaster has claimed four lives and left many others injured.

In his condolence message, the Chief Minister conveyed heartfelt sympathies to the bereaved families and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured. He assured that the administration will provide all necessary assistance to those affected by the tragedy.

Abdullah has directed district authorities to carry out immediate relief, rescue, and evacuation measures to ensure the safety and support of the victims. He also instructed officials to remain on high alert and extend every possible help to the affected communities.

The government reaffirmed its commitment to stand with the people of Kathua in this difficult time and provide timely relief to minimise suffering.
