KPDCL Announces Scheduled Power Shutdowns in Several Kashmir Areas

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, the shutdown of the 33 KV Nowbugh–Chadoora line will be observed on February 7, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM. During this period, electricity supply to Sogam, Repora, Dawlatpora, Panzan, Lalgam, Chadoora, Wathoora, Bugam, Gadsathoo, Kathairgund, and adjoining areas will remain affected.

Similarly, the 33 KV Achabal–Cherpora Tap Line will remain shut on February 7 and 9, 2026, between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM, impacting power supply to Achabal, Shangus, Nowgam, Cherpora, and nearby localities.

KPDCL also announced shutdowns of the 33 KV Pampore–Lethpora line on February 8 and 11, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. Areas expected to face power disruption include Samboora, Lethpora, Patalbagh, Chandhara, Konibal, Dussoo, and adjoining areas.

In addition, shutdown of the 33 KV Pampore–Khrew line will be carried out on February 9, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM, affecting electricity supply to Khrew, Buthan, PHE installations, Hospital, Shar A, Shar B, Wahab Sahab, and surrounding areas.

Furthermore, the 33 KV Potushai–Ajas Tap Line will undergo maintenance shutdowns on February 7 and 9, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, resulting in power outages in Ajas, SK Bala, Sadunara, Bazipora, and nearby localities.

KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in advance and has expressed regret for the inconvenience caused due to the essential maintenance work.

The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) on Friday announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns in different parts of the Kashmir division over the coming days.

  • 33 KV Khonmoh–Zawoora Line:
    Power supply to Balhama, Wuyan, Munpora, parts of Khonmoh and adjoining areas will remain affected from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on January 25, 2026.
  • 33 KV Tral First Line (Tapline from Nowda):
    Areas including Tral, Payeen, Devar, Kahlil, Tral Bala, Bajwani and nearby localities will face power shutdown from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on January 18 and 22, 2026.
  • 33 KV Sangam-II Line:
    Power supply to Siamoh, K-Koot, Kaigam, Hariparigam, Chakoora, Gulzarpora, Panzgam, Railway area and adjoining localities will be affected from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on January 19 and 22, 2026.
  • 33 KV Pampore–Khrew Line:
    Areas including Shar, Wahab Sahib, Bathan and surrounding localities will witness outages from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on January 24 and 27, 2026.
  • 33 KV Pampore–Lethpora Line:
    Power supply to Samboora, Lethpora, CRPF Lethpora, Ladhoo, Konibal, Chandhara, LIS and nearby areas will remain affected from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on January 19 and 21, 2026.
  • 33 KV Pampore–SIDCO Line:
    Electricity supply to IE Khrew, Wuyan and cement plants will be affected from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on January 18, 2026.
  • 33 KV Nihalpora–Gulmarg Line:
    Power supply to Reram, Chandilora, Watnoo, Tangmarg, Kralweth, Mulgam, Ferozpora, Katipora, Rangawali, Kulhama, Shai, Buderkoot, Gulmarg, Khyber, Chandil, Wanigam, Malgam, Malpora and adjoining areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on January 19 and 24, 2026.

KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to plan accordingly and cooperate during the shutdown period, stating that the maintenance work is essential for improving the reliability of power supply.

Similarly, power shutdown of 33 KV Badampora Ajar line and 33 KV Potushai Naidhal line will be observed due to which Panzigam, Nusoo, Naidhal and Ajas receiving stations shall remain off while power supply to Panzigam, Kuloosa, Kazipora, Khayar, Ajar, Town Arin, Arin, Aham Sharief, Nishat, Papchan, Ajas, SK Bala, Sadunara, Bazipora, Nadihal, Guroora, Argam and adjoining areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM on 06 November, 2025.

Likewise, shutdown of 33 KV Potushai-Gurez line will be observed due to which Dawar & Gurez receiving stations shall remain off while power supply to Wanpora, Dawar, NHPC, Tragbal, Peerbaba, Razdan Top and adjoining areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM on 08 & 09 November, 2025.

Similarly, shutdown of 140 MVA Grid Station Cheshmashahi will be observed due to which power supply to Centaur, Brane Nishat, Dalband, Shalimar, BB Cant, TRC, Nedous, Buchwara and adjoining areas will be affected from 09:30 AM to 04:30 PM on 11 November, 2025.
