KPDCL Announces Planned Power Shutdowns Across Kashmir in February

KPDCL to shut multiple 33KV lines

 Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL has informed that the Shutdown of 132/33 KV D/C Delina-Sheeri LJHP line will be observed due to which power supply to Short Delina, DIC, New DIC, Old Army, Main Bazar, Ushkara, PHE, Sangri, Microwave, Kanlibagh, GMC, Old Town, Baramulla, Kanil Bagh, Drangbal, Sheeri, Boniyar, Trikanjan, Limber, Nowshera, JNV, Peernia, MES, Uri and adjoining areas will be affected from 10 AM to 03 PM on 09 February 2026.

Similarly, shutdown of 132 kV ICT-Ckt-I at 200 MVA, 132/33 kv Grid Station Pampore will be observed due to which power supply to Rawalpora, SanatNagar,Chanapora, Hyderpora, Humhama, Baghat, Barzullah, Rambagh, Natipora, B&J Bagh-i-mehtab, Rangreth, JAKLI, BEACON, Wanbal, Batagund, Aripal, Lurgam, Noorgam, Lalgam, Tral, Tral i Bala, Cheewa, Panzgam, LIS-I,II,III, K.Koot, Marhama, Khiram, Khellan, Konibal, Kadlabal, Shar Shali, IE Wuyan, IE Khrew, Cement Plants, Pahru, BK Pora, Nowgam Railway Stn. Summerbugh, Khanda, Ladhoo and adjoining areas will be affected from 10 AM to 11 AM on 09 February 2026.

Likewise, shutdown of 132 kV ICT-Ckt-II at 200 MVA, 132/33 KV Grid Station Pampore will be observed due to which power supply to Rawalpora, SanatNagar,Chanapora, Hyderpora, Humhama, Baghat, Barzullah, Rambagh, Natipora, B&J Bagh-i-mehtab, Rangreth, JAKLI, BEACON, Wanbal, Batagund, Aripal, Lurgam, Noorgam, Lalgam, Tral, Tral i Bala, Cheewa, Panzgam, LIS-I,II,III, K.Koot, Marhama, Khiram, Khellan, Konibal, Kadlabal, Shar Shali, IE Wuyan, IE Khrew, Cement Plants, Pahru, BK Pora, Nowgam Railway Stn. Summerbugh, Khanda, Ladhoo and adjoining areas will be affected from 10 AM to 02 PM on 11 February 2026.

Similarly, shutdown of 33 KV Watrehail Tapline will be observed due to which power supply to Watrehail, Samsaan, Parthan, PHE Substation Watrehail and adjoining areas will be affected from 10 AM to 03 PM on 12 & 16 February 2026.
Further, shutdown of 33 KV Lassipora-Keegam line will be observed due to which power supply to Pakherpora, Hawl, Rajpora, Rahmoo, Keegam, Gulshanabad, Akhal, Chararipora and adjoining areas from 09 AM to 03 PM on 11, 14 & 16 February 2026.

Meanwhile, the shutdown approved for 33 KV Pampore-Lethpora line earlier scheduled on 08 & 11 February 2026 is hereby rescheduled to 09 & 11 February 2026, besides, shutdown of
33 KV Cheshmashahi TRC Nedous line scheduled on 08 February 2026 has been canceled.

KPDCL Announces Scheduled Power Shutdowns Across Kashmir Division

KPDCL to shut multiple 33KV lines

The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) on Friday announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns in several areas of the Kashmir division over the coming days.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, a shutdown of the 33 KV Alusteng–Zakura line will be carried out on 31 January 2026. Similarly, the Cheshmashahi–TRC–Nedous line will remain shut on 1 February 2026, impacting power supply to Dal, Paras Hospital and the 33 KV installations of the Rajbagh Tapline from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.

On 31 January 2026, the 33 KV Budgam SIDCO Tap line will also undergo a shutdown. During this period, power supply to Ompora, Sheikhpora, Housing Colony, Mohanpora, NIFT and nearby areas will be disrupted from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm.

Furthermore, the 33 KV Lassipora–Keegam line will remain shut on 1, 4, 7 and 10 February 2026. This will affect electricity supply to Pakherpora, Rajpora, Rahmoo, Keegam, Gulshanabad, Akhal, Chararipora and adjoining areas from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.

KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in advance.

Likewise, shutdown of 132 KV D/C IRCON-Budgam Transmission line, 33 KV Budgam feeder and 33 KV Ichgam-Budgam feeder will be observed due to which power supply to Traction Substation Budgam (Railway), Budgam Town, Ompora, Housing Colony, Nasurallahpora, Jawalapora, Ichgam, Ichkoot, Choon, Kanir, Hushur, Zuhamma, Hanjoora, Substation NKC (Ring Road) and adjoining areas will be affected from 09:30 AM to 03:30 PM on 08 December, 2025.

Likewise, shutdown of 33 KV Khiram Tap line will be observed due to which power supply to Khiram, Mahind, Sirhama, Shalgul, Nowhara and adjoining aras will be affected from 09.30 AM to 03.30 PM on 11 December, 2025.

Furthermore, shutdown of 33 KV Wanpoh-SICOP line will be observed due to which power supply to Bijbehara, Shamsipora, Veeri, Nowbugh, Guree, Kanelwan, Srigufwara, Cheeniwooder and adjoining areas will be affected from 09.30 AM to 03.30 PM on 09 December, 2025.

Similarly, shutdown of 33 KV Sangam New Tap line will be observed due to which power supply to Sangam, Bijbehara, Wapzan, Waghama, Khelan, Rakh, Batpora and adjoining areas will be affected from 11.00 AM to 02.00 PM on 09 December, 2025
Similarly, Dandipora receiving station shall remain off due to which power supply to Larnoo, Vailoo, Dandipora and adjoining areas will be affected from 09.00 AM to 03.30 PM on 08 December, 2025.

Likewise, shutdown of 33 kV Lassipora-Landoora line and 33 KV Lassipora-Reshipora line will be observed due to which power supply to Landoora, Watchi, Babapora, Momen, Hermain, Hajipora, Chakoora, Frisal, Zainapora, Chitragam, Rebban, Awnera, Sugan, Agalr, Nagbal, Turkwangam and adjoining areas will be affected from 10.00 AM to 03.00 PM on 09, 13 and 16 December, 2025.

Likewise, shutdown of 33 KV Bakshipora Tapline will be observed from 10.30 AM to 03.30 PM due to which power supply to Kreshbal, Palpora, Chochefakir, Bakshipora and adjoining areas will be affected on 06 December, 2025.

Furthermore, shutdown of 33 KV Badampora Wangipora Tapline and 33 KV Badampora Army Hakbara line will be observed due to which power supply to Batwina, Nowgam, Wangipora, Zazna, Ahan, Waskura, Kharbagh, Sumbal, Nesbal, Hajin, Preng, Madwan, Banyari, Hakbara, Chandergeer and adjoining areas will be affected from 09.30 AM to 03.30 PM on 06 & 14 December, 2025.

Similarly, 33 KV Badampora Kurhama Dab line and 33 KV Lar Tulmulla line will be observed due to which power supply to Kurhama, Youngoora, Barsoo, Old Dab, Check Baba Salun, Sainik School, Rabitar, Kondbal, GCET, Safapora and Lar, Waliwar, Watlar, Repora, Tulmulla, Dangerpora, Theeru, Larsun and adjoining areas will be affected from 09.30 AM to 03.30 PM on 09 & 15 December, 2025.

KPDCL to shut multiple 33KV lines

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, in order to complete the left over work of stabilization of 33 KV Mattan-Pahalgam line which got halted due to SANJY-2025, shutdown of 33KV Mattan Pahalgam line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Salia, Hutmurrah, Sallar, Aishmuqam, Batkoot, GIS/AIS Pahalgam shall remain off while power supply to Pahalgam, Batkoot, Aishmuqam, Seer, Saller, Akad, Hutmurrah, Salia and adjoining areas will be affected from 09:00 AM to 04:00 PM on 26, 28 & 30 August, 2025.

Also in order to carry out the works regarding raising of 11 KV feeders under the 33 KV main bus conductor by way of erection of one no. 11 mtr long ST Pole and shifting of 33 KV Wanganpora-Takenwari-BAMK line from deteriorated composite wooden pole to 11 mtr long ST Pole at Narwara, shutdown of 33 KV Wanganpora Takenwari BAMK line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Station at Takanwari shall remain off while power supply to Shanglipora, Sangam and adjoining areas will be affected from 07:00 AM to 11:00 AM on 24 August, 2025.

Also in this connection, shutdown of 33 KV Wanganpora-Khanyar-Rainawari line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Khanyar and Rainawari shall remain off while power supply to Miskeen Bagh, Rozabal, Maqdoom Sb, Radhpora, Hazari Bagh, Nowhatta, Partially Jogilankar, JLNM Hospital, Kondabal, Hassanabad and adjoining areas will be affected from 07:00 AM to 09:00 AM on 24 August, 2025.

Further, shutdown of 33 KV GIS Nowshera BAMK line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Station at BAMK shall remain off while power supply to Industries, Raja Colony, Zadibal, Bota Kadal, Gili Kadal, BSNL Exchange and adjoining areas will be affected from 09:00 AM to 11:00 AM on 24 August, 2025.

Meanwhile as per a separate shutdown schedule issued from the office of Chief Engineer KPDCL, in order to carry out Branch cutting and other stabilization works, shutdown of 33 KV Badampora-Safapora Tap line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Safapora, Mansbal shall remain off while power supply to Safapora, Gratbal, Jarakobagh, Manasbal and adjoining areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM on 23 August, 2025.

KPDCL to shut multiple 33KV lines

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, in order to facilitate Branch cutting/ Pruning of trees coming under the alignment of 33 KV Lines, shutdown of several 33 KV lines shall be observed due to which numerous 33/11KV Receiving Stations shall remain off while power supply to various areas will be affected.

In this connection, the shutdown of 33KV Wanpoh Qazigund line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Mirbazar, Vessu, Qazigund, Kund & Chowgam shall remain off while power supply to Mir Bazar, Vessu, Kund, Qazigund and adjoining areas area will be affected from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM on 10 June, 2025.

Also, the shutdown of 33KV Qazigund Kund Tap line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Qazigund, Kund & Chowgam shall remain off while power supply to Qazigund , kund , YK Pora, Khargund and adjoining areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM on 12 & 16 June, 2025.

Further, the shutdown of 33KV Kulgam DH Pora line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Rambhama, DH Pora & Nagam shall remain off while power supply to DH Pora , Nagam, Rambhama and adjoining areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM on 19 June, 2025.

Likewise, the shutdown of 33KV Kulgam Devsar line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Ashmuji, Kilam, Chumbgund & Devsar shall remain off while power supply to Ashuji, Kilam, Devsar and adjoining areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 04:00 PM on 17 June, 2025.

According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, in order to carry out Augmentation of conductor from 0.1 ACSR to 0.2 ACSR, the shutdown of 33KV Nehalpora (Pattan)-Markundal line shall be observed due to which Receiving Stations at Markundal, Naidkhai, Shahgund and Aglar shall remain off while power supply to the Naidkhai, Markundal, Sumbal Ankhul, Gundboon areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM on 16 & 18 January, 2025.

Also, to facilitate dismantling of HT Poles coming on road side of Grid Station Rawalpora, the shutdown of 33KV Rawalpora-Chanapora Bone & Joint line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Chanapora and Bone & Joint shall remain off while the power supply to the Chanapora, Natipora, B&J Baghat will be affected from 11:00 AM to 02:00 PM on 15 January, 2025.

The shutdown of 33KV Rawalpora Bagh i Mehtab line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Station at Bagh i Mehtab shall remain off while the power supply to the Bagh i Mehtab, Kralpora, Gopalpora areas will be affected from 11:00 AM to 02:00 PM on 15 January, 2025.

Further, in order to carry out Testing of 11 KV VCB Panel and 33 KV C&R Panel, Power Transformer and allied equipments in connection with augmentation of Rec., Station, the shutdown of 33KV Budgam SIDCO line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Budgam and SIDCO shall remain off while the power supply to the Budgam, Ompora Housing Colony, Sebdan, Jawalapora, Budgam Town and JNV areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 05:00 PM on 18 January, 2025.

Moreover, to carry out Stringing of Dog ACSR conductor and pole erection, the shutdown of 33KV Amargarh SIDCO Line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Seer, Rohama and Chakloo shall remain off while the power supply to the Seer, Gur Seer, Peth Seer, Manz Seer, Rohama, Chakloo and adjoining areas will be affected from 10:30 AM to 04:00 PM on 18 & 20 January, 2025.

In order to carry out Stabilization/ improvement of 33 KV line, the shutdown of 33KV Nadihal Tap Line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Station at Ajas shall remain off while the power supply to the Ajas, Bazipora, SK Bala and Saudnara areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM on 18 & 22 January, 2025.

Also in this connection, the shutdown of 33KV Alusteng Line shall be observed due to which 33/11KV Receiving Stations at Alasteng, Nagbal, Gadoora and Tulbagh shall remain off while the power supply to the Shuhama, Bakura, Darend, Nagbal, Fatehpora, Check Gadoora, Tulbagh and Chunduna areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 03:00 PM on 18 & 21 January, 2025.
