The Meteorological Centre Srinagar on Wednesday issued a weather advisory predicting light to moderate rain and thunderstorms expected in many areas on July 23-24.
Some parts of the Jammu Division, including Poonch, Rajouri, Ramban, Reasi, Udhampur, Jammu, and Kathua, may experience intense showers and heavy to very heavy rain.
Residents are advised to be cautious due to the possibility of flash floods, landslides, and water logging in low-lying areas.
Farmers, on the other hand, can expect a brief respite and are advised to resume farm operations from July 25-27.
The weather is expected to remain hot and humid from July 25-27, with brief showers possible at a few places. Another spell of rain is forecasted from July 28-30.
