The Bhalesa area in Doda district has received a fresh spell of heavy snowfall, turning the region into a beautiful and eye-catching winter scene.
After almost three months of dry weather, snow has finally covered both the plains and higher areas. Mountains, valleys, and nearby regions are now wrapped in a thick white blanket. Residents said they felt relief and happiness as the long-awaited snowfall arrived, just as weather predictions had suggested. The snowfall has caused a sharp fall in temperatures and has also helped restore moisture to the environment after a long dry period.
Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh said government departments were fully prepared in advance for the weather change. He added that a strong storm was followed by snowfall, but arrangements were already in place to handle the situation.
The fresh snowfall has not only increased the natural beauty of Bhalesa but has also lifted the mood of local residents. Similar snowfall events in the past have made the area popular for its winter charm, and this latest spell once again highlights Bhalesa’s scenic appeal.
