Erratic Weather Likely in J&K Till March 19, Says Meteorological Centre Srinagar

Srinagar: The Meteorological Centre Srinagar on Tuesday issued a weather forecast for Jammu and Kashmir, predicting erratic weather conditions across the region till March 19.

The weather is likely to remain generally dry on March 13–14, providing a short relief from wet conditions. Farmers have been advised to resume agricultural activities during this period.

Another spell of light rain and snowfall in higher altitude areas is expected during March 15–16, the MeT department said.

Officials also warned that temporary traffic disruptions may occur on higher mountain passes and roads due to snowfall.

From March 17 to March 19, the weather is expected to remain generally cloudy, with light rain and snowfall at isolated to scattered places across the Union Territory.

The Meteorological Department further said that weather conditions are likely to improve and turn generally dry from March 20 onwards.
