Senior religious leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Monday visited Buchpora to offer taziyat and condolences to the family of the late Abdul Ahad Farhad.

In a statement, the Mirwaiz said that Farhad shared a close and affectionate association with Mirwaiz Molvi Farooq, also known as Shaheed-e-Millat. He said Farhad dedicated his life to the service of the Kashmiri language, literature, and broadcasting.

The Mirwaiz prayed for the maghfirah (forgiveness) and eternal peace of the departed soul and asked Allah to grant patience and strength to the bereaved family.

Visit to Shalteng

The Mirwaiz also visited Shalteng to offer condolences to Mukhtar Ahmad Aga on the passing away of his father, Ghulam Nabi Aga.

He remembered Ghulam Nabi Aga as a long-time associate and well-wisher of the Mirwaiz family. The Mirwaiz prayed for forgiveness of the departed soul and for sabr (patience) for the grieving family.
