53 Muslim Candidates Clear UPSC Civil Services Exam 2025

The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) declared the Civil Services Examination (CSE) 2025 results on March 6, 2026, bringing encouraging news for aspirants from the Muslim community.

Out of 958 candidates recommended for appointment to top services such as the Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), and other Group A and B central services, 53 candidates belong to the Muslim community. This equals about 5.53% representation in the final merit list.

Major Increase Compared to UPSC CSE 2024

In UPSC CSE 2024 (results announced in April 2025), only about 26 Muslim candidates were selected out of 1,009 successful candidates, which was roughly 2.5–3% representation.
