Srinagar Police, along with the Tourist Police Station Srinagar, carried out a verification and inspection drive across the city to check hotels, homestays, and guest houses.
During the drive, several establishments were found running without proper registration from the concerned authorities. These included hotels Essar, ABC Residency, Gani, and Aksa. Homestays found unregistered were Al Habib, Golden Moon, and Divine Holiday.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Police imposed fines on the owners for operating without mandatory registration. They also said preventive action under Sections 126 and 170 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) will be started against the owners of these unregistered properties.
Srinagar Police have advised all hotel, guest house, and homestay owners to strictly follow legal rules and complete registration on time to avoid legal trouble.
The police said such inspection drives will continue in the future to ensure rules are followed and to promote safe, lawful, and responsible tourism in the district.
