Safapora Residents Protest Alleged Murder of 28-Year-Old Woman, Demand Swift Justice and Action

People in Safapora area including the family members of a woman, (name withheld) who alleged that she was murdered, staged a protest demonstration on Monday and demanded stern action against the accused and urged the Police to speed up the investigation into the case.

As per the protesters, a 28 year old woman was kidnapped and murdered by one of her relatives and demanded a swift police action and justice to the victims family. “We demand a swift investigation and stringent action against the accused involved, “ Suhail Ahmad, a civil society member said.

Meanwhile, Senior Superintendent of Police Ganderbal Khalil Ahmad Poswal rushed to the spot and assured the family and the protesters about the swift action and stringent action to the accused involved in the crime.

Talking to Greater Kashmir, SSP Ganderbal Khalil Poswal said that a case has been registered, and investigation has been taken up. “We have detained the accused person and investigation are on, adding that anyone involved in the crime will face stringent action” SSP said.
