Security forces arrested three people and recovered ammunition during a late-night joint operation in the Mouchwa area of Budgam, officials said on Sunday.

Officials said a total of 45 rounds of ammunition were recovered from the possession of the arrested individuals during the coordinated late-night action. The recoveries were made after targeted searches in the area.
In connection with the incident, FIR No. 08 of 2026 has been registered at Police Station Chadoora under Sections 18 and 23 of the Unlawful Activities Prevention Act and Sections 7 and 25 of the Arms Act.
Police said further investigation is underway to trace the source of the ammunition and to identify any possible links with unlawful activities or networks.
Officials added that the operation is part of ongoing efforts to maintain peace and security in the district, and strict action will continue against anyone found involved in activities that threaten public safety.
