Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Condoles Demise of Scholar Maulana Abdullah Tari and Journalist Abdul Rashid Shah

In a condolence message, the Mirwaiz paid tribute to the religious, scholarly, social, and intellectual contributions of both personalities. He said that these respected figures of Jammu and Kashmir served society with great sincerity, dedication, and commitment, making valuable contributions in their respective fields.

The Mirwaiz stated that through their work, writings, and guidance, both personalities played an important role in shaping public thinking and contributing to the moral and social development of Kashmiri society.

He said that the passing of such experienced and respected elders is a major loss for the Valley, especially at a time when society needs the wisdom, scholarship, and balanced voice of senior figures.

Expressing heartfelt condolences, the Mirwaiz extended his sympathies to the bereaved families. He also conveyed solidarity with the relatives of Maulana Abdullah Tari and with the sons of Abdul Rashid Shah — Haroon Rashid and Yasir Rashid — as well as the entire staff of Nida-e-Mashriq.

He prayed to Almighty Allah to grant patience and strength to the grieving families and to bless the departed souls with the highest place in Jannat-ul-Firdous.
