Renowned religious scholar and former president of Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadith Jammu and Kashmir, Maulana Muhammad Abdullah Tari, passed away on Sunday at his native village Kachdoor in south Kashmir’s Shopian district.

Family members and close associates said that Maulana Tari devoted his entire life to the promotion of knowledge, religious preaching, and the moral and intellectual development of society.
Thousands of people from different parts of Kashmir attended his funeral procession in Kachdoor village, showing the deep respect and admiration he enjoyed among his followers and admirers.
The Namaz-e-Janaza was led by prominent cleric Maulana Muhammad Maqbool Akhrani. Religious scholars, students, and members of various organisations gathered to pay their final respects to the late scholar.
Maulana Tari was widely known as a respected religious leader, author, and thinker. He wrote several books on religious and social issues and played an important role in guiding society through his lectures, writings, and teachings.
Scholars said that his contributions to religious scholarship and education will continue to inspire students and followers for many years.
Jamiat Ahl-e-Hadith Jammu and Kashmir also expressed deep sorrow over his death, calling it an irreparable loss to the religious and academic community.
In condolence messages, many religious and social personalities prayed for his forgiveness and for Allah to grant him the highest ranks in the hereafter. They also expressed sympathy and solidarity with his family, students, and followers.
Students and admirers of Maulana Abdullah Tari said that his lifelong dedication to scholarship, preaching, and social reform will always be remembered.
