Central Committee member and Kulgam MLA Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami on Thursday said that profiling mosques in Kashmir is “unwarranted” and only adds to the existing sense of discontent among people.

Tarigami warned that these actions risk deepening public alienation and damaging trust between citizens and the administration.
In a post on X, he reiterated his stand, saying that profiling mosques is unnecessary and harmful. He stressed that respecting religious freedom is essential for maintaining harmony and public confidence in Kashmir.
