KPDCL Announces Scheduled Power Shutdowns Across Several Kashmir Areas in Coming Days

The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) on Friday announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns in different parts of the Kashmir division over the coming days.

According to a communication issued by the Chief Engineer, Distribution, the shutdowns are being carried out for maintenance works on several 33 KV power lines. The outages will affect electricity supply in the following areas: Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

  • 33 KV Khonmoh–Zawoora Line:
    Power supply to Balhama, Wuyan, Munpora, parts of Khonmoh and adjoining areas will remain affected from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on January 25, 2026.
  • 33 KV Tral First Line (Tapline from Nowda):
    Areas including Tral, Payeen, Devar, Kahlil, Tral Bala, Bajwani and nearby localities will face power shutdown from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on January 18 and 22, 2026.
  • 33 KV Sangam-II Line:
    Power supply to Siamoh, K-Koot, Kaigam, Hariparigam, Chakoora, Gulzarpora, Panzgam, Railway area and adjoining localities will be affected from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on January 19 and 22, 2026.
  • 33 KV Pampore–Khrew Line:
    Areas including Shar, Wahab Sahib, Bathan and surrounding localities will witness outages from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on January 24 and 27, 2026.
  • 33 KV Pampore–Lethpora Line:
    Power supply to Samboora, Lethpora, CRPF Lethpora, Ladhoo, Konibal, Chandhara, LIS and nearby areas will remain affected from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on January 19 and 21, 2026.
  • 33 KV Pampore–SIDCO Line:
    Electricity supply to IE Khrew, Wuyan and cement plants will be affected from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on January 18, 2026.
  • 33 KV Nihalpora–Gulmarg Line:
    Power supply to Reram, Chandilora, Watnoo, Tangmarg, Kralweth, Mulgam, Ferozpora, Katipora, Rangawali, Kulhama, Shai, Buderkoot, Gulmarg, Khyber, Chandil, Wanigam, Malgam, Malpora and adjoining areas will be affected from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM on January 19 and 24, 2026.

KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to plan accordingly and cooperate during the shutdown period, stating that the maintenance work is essential for improving the reliability of power supply.
