The Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) on Friday announced a series of scheduled power shutdowns in several areas of the Kashmir division over the coming days.
According to the Chief Engineer, Distribution, KPDCL, a shutdown of the 33 KV Alusteng–Zakura line will be carried out on 31 January 2026. As a result, electricity supply to Ahmad Nagar, Umerhair and adjoining areas will remain affected from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm. Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
Similarly, the Cheshmashahi–TRC–Nedous line will remain shut on 1 February 2026, impacting power supply to Dal, Paras Hospital and the 33 KV installations of the Rajbagh Tapline from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
On 31 January 2026, the 33 KV Budgam SIDCO Tap line will also undergo a shutdown. During this period, power supply to Ompora, Sheikhpora, Housing Colony, Mohanpora, NIFT and nearby areas will be disrupted from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm.
Furthermore, the 33 KV Lassipora–Keegam line will remain shut on 1, 4, 7 and 10 February 2026. This will affect electricity supply to Pakherpora, Rajpora, Rahmoo, Keegam, Gulshanabad, Akhal, Chararipora and adjoining areas from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm.
KPDCL has advised consumers in the affected areas to make necessary arrangements in advance.
