An encounter broke out between terrorists and security forces in the Singhpora area of Kishtwar on Sunday, officials said.

During the operation, the hiding terrorists opened fire on the security forces, who responded immediately, leading to an exchange of gunfire.
Officials said additional reinforcements have been rushed to the area, and a tight cordon has been established to prevent the terrorists from escaping. The encounter was ongoing at the time of filing this report.
