Man with Pakistan Links Arrested in Rajouri; Weapons Seized in Joint Operation
In a major crackdown on the alleged narco-terror network, the Jammu and Kashmir Police, along with the 54 Rashtriya Rifles, arrested a man with suspected Pakistan-based links in Rajouri district on Thursday.
According to the District Police Office Rajouri, the arrested man has been identified as Sachin Kumar, also known as Pamma, a resident of Sehar in the Nowshera area.

In an official statement, the District Police Office Rajouri said that acting on specific intelligence inputs, a joint operation was launched with the 54 Rashtriya Rifles (Romeo Force). During the operation, Sachin Kumar alias Pamma was arrested.
Security forces recovered two pistols from his possession. These included a Turkish-made Tisas Zigana 9mm pistol with three magazines and a Chinese-made .30 bore TT-30 Norinco pistol with one magazine.
A case has been registered under relevant sections of law at Nowshera Police Station, and further investigation is currently underway. Officials said more details are expected soon.
Earlier Operation in Udhampur
Earlier, on February 4, a joint team of Jammu and Kashmir Police, the Indian Army and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) neutralised two terrorists in the Basantgarh area of Udhampur district.
The operation, named “Operation Kiya”, was carried out in the Jophar forest area of Ramnagar following specific intelligence inputs provided by the police.
According to the White Knight Corps, troops of CIF Delta launched a focused counter-terror operation in coordination with police and CRPF. The forces maintained a strong cordon around the area to prevent the terrorists from escaping.
Security agencies said contact with the terrorists was established, and after a coordinated and carefully planned response, two terrorists were neutralised.
Officials described the operation as an example of effective inter-agency coordination, tactical precision and professionalism.
