Interfaith Couple Found Murdered in Moradabad, Brothers Arrested as Police Act to Prevent Communal Tension

In a shocking case of alleged honour killing, a 27-year-old Muslim man and his 22-year-old Hindu partner were brutally murdered in Moradabad, police said.

The man, Arman, had recently returned from Saudi Arabia and was living in Moradabad for the past few months. During this time, he met Kajal, and the two began a relationship. Kajal’s brothers strongly opposed the interfaith relationship and repeatedly asked her to end it. Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel

Around three days ago, both Arman and Kajal went missing. Arman’s father, Haneef, filed a missing persons report with the police. During the investigation, officers discovered that Kajal was also missing, which raised further concern.

Police questioned Kajal’s brothers, who later confessed to killing the couple. According to investigators, the accused tied the hands and legs of both victims before hacking them to death. They then buried the bodies at a nearby location, which they later showed to the police. The bodies were recovered on Wednesday evening.

Senior Superintendent of Police Satpal Antil said the murder weapon, a spade, had also been recovered. A murder case has been registered against Kajal’s three brothers, and two of them are currently in police custody.

To prevent any communal tension following the incident, police have deployed heavy security in the village. Officials said the situation remains under control.

Speaking to NDTV, Arman’s sister said the family was unaware of his relationship. She added that Arman had been working in Saudi Arabia for four years and returned home only three months ago.
