Deputy Commissioner(DC) Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat has greeted to the people on beginning of the holy month of Ramzaan.

The DC extending his best wishes to the people on the on sacred month of Ramzaan. He prayed that may this holy month of prayers, blessings and forgiveness bring peace, prosperity and good health to all.

The holy Islamic month of Ramzaan 2025 (1446 Hijri) shall begin from March 02, 2025(Sunday).

Meanwhile, on the directions of the Deputy Commissioner, District Administration Srinagar has made all necessary arrangements and preparations for Ramzaan ul Mubarak in the District.

Also a 24*7 Joint Control Room had been established at DC Office Srinagar to ensure smooth and hassle free availability of basic facilities to the general public.

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, chaired a meeting of the District Level Review Committee/District Consultative Committee (DLRC/DCC) at the DC Office Complex to review the performance of banks and financial institutions under various government initiatives and schemes for the quarter ending September 2024.

Dr. Bhat urged banks and sponsoring agencies to prioritize achieving targets under Priority Sector Lending and improve access to banking facilities for unemployed youth. He emphasized the importance of coordination between banks and sponsoring agencies for better implementation of self-employment schemes.

The meeting covered a review of the Prime Ministers Mudra Yojna (PMMY), Pradhan Mantri Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), Pradhan Mantri SVANIDHI schemes, and other social security and government schemes. The DC also stressed the need for financial literacy and the Digital Payment Ecosystem.
