CRPF Trooper Dies by Suicide in Anantnag, Police Launch Inquest

A Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Trooper allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself dead with his service rifle in Dooru area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district on Friday morning.

An official said that the CRPF jawan (name withheld) who was posted for C /164 Battalion shot himself dead with his service rifle.The motive behind his extreme step was not known immediately, the officials said, adding that police have started inquest proceedings in this connection.(KNC)
