Saudi Arabia Rejects Trump’s Statement, Reaffirms No Ties with Israel Without Palestinian State

mohammad bin salman

In a direct response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent comments, Saudi Arabia has reaffirmed its stance on the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, making it clear that it will not establish diplomatic relations with Israel without the creation of a Palestinian state. This statement contradicts Trump’s assertion that Riyadh was not demanding a Palestinian homeland, following his controversial remarks suggesting the U.S. would take over Gaza.

Saudi officials emphasized that their position on the matter remains firm, aligning with long-standing Arab policy that a two-state solution is essential for peace in the region. The kingdom has consistently supported Palestinian statehood and reiterated that normalization with Israel cannot occur without addressing the Palestinian cause.

Trump’s recent statement, which suggested a different path to peace, has sparked reactions across the Middle East, with many questioning the viability and implications of such a proposal. Saudi Arabia’s rejection underscores the ongoing geopolitical divide and highlights the centrality of the Palestinian issue in any potential Arab-Israeli peace efforts.

This exchange between the U.S. and Saudi leadership signals the continuing complexity of Middle Eastern diplomacy, with Saudi Arabia remaining a key player in advocating for Palestinian rights. The kingdom’s stance suggests that any progress toward normalization with Israel hinges on the realization of a sovereign Palestinian state.
