Priyanka Gandhi Vadra Criticizes PM Modi for Disrespectful Remarks Against Opposition

Priyanka Gandhi

Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra criticized Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday for his controversial “mujra” remark targeting the INDIA bloc. She emphasized that no prime minister in India’s history has used such language against opposition leaders.

Speaking at a joint election rally with Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav in Gorakhpur, in support of INDIA bloc candidate Kajal Nishad and Bansgaon candidate Sadal Prasad, Vadra expressed her dismay. She greeted the crowd in Bhojpuri, saying, “Raua sabhe ke Ram-Ram,” and asserted, “Modi ji gave a speech in Bihar and uttered such words for opposition leaders which no prime minister in the history of the country would have said.”

She highlighted the respect the nation holds for the position of prime minister and argued that it is Modi’s responsibility to maintain the dignity of his office. Vadra accused Modi of nervousness and forgetting his role as a representative of the country, stating, “Such words should not have come out of his mouth.”

Earlier in Bihar, PM Modi claimed he would prevent the opposition INDIA bloc from reallocating quotas meant for SCs, STs, and OBCs to Muslims. He accused the opposition of “slavery” and performing “mujra” to please their vote bank.

Vadra responded by questioning Modi’s priorities, pointing out the severe unemployment problem in the country. She stated, “Unemployment in the country today is the highest in 45 years and is the biggest problem. Does Modi ji talk about this? Have you heard the word unemployment from Modi ji?”

Reciting a composition by Saint Baba Gorakhnath, Vadra emphasized the respect owed to the office of the prime minister and lamented that Modi’s recent remarks exposed his true character. She noted that family members always maintain respect for each other, a quality she found lacking in Modi’s words.

Vadra also expressed pride in speaking from Gorakhpur, a land associated with Mahatma Buddha, Saint Kabir, Guru Matsyendra Nath, and Guru Gorakhnath. She underscored the region’s historical message of love, justice, and harmony, which she said forms the foundation of India’s Constitution and democracy.

As the elections approach, Vadra reiterated the INDIA alliance’s commitment to addressing the needs of the poor and farmers, accusing the current government of being anti-poor and anti-farmer. Voting in Gorakhpur and Bansgaon is scheduled for the seventh phase on June 1.

Ghulam Nabi Azad Drops Bombshell Revelation on Article 370 –  There was nothing left of the special status that merited removal

Former Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad expressed his disappointment on Friday, stating that had the BJP consulted him prior to the abrogation of Article 370, he could have offered valuable guidance. Azad asserted that the removal of Article 370 has left nothing of the special status that warranted its removal.

Azad’s remarks came in an interview with a New Delhi-based newspaper, as reported by the news agency Kashmir News Observer (KNO). He highlighted that the original framework of Article 370 had already been diluted over time, with control over foreign affairs, defense, and currency already integrated into India by leaders like Nehru and Indira Gandhi. He suggested that only a few local rights remained, and consulting him could have provided better insights.

Responding to accusations of being soft on the BJP, Azad dismissed such claims, emphasizing his focus on development and advocating for a politics of unity over religion. He stressed the need for national unity, particularly in the face of external threats along the borders.

Reflecting on his tenure with the Congress, Azad expressed frustration with internal dynamics, citing resistance to instilling a strong work ethic. He criticized the lack of willingness to work among those appointed to key positions during his time, lamenting defeats despite his efforts to secure victories.

Azad’s departure from the Congress and establishment of a new party, the DPAP, was driven by what he described as internal conflict within the Congress and a lack of meaningful work ethic. He questioned the purpose of remaining in a party where such issues persisted.

University of Kashmir Innovators Awarded Patents for Revolutionary Designs

A group of student innovators and faculty from the Department of Electronics and Instrumentation Technology (DEIT) at the University of Kashmir (KU) have recently been awarded patents by the Patent Authority of India for their groundbreaking designs, which are set to transform traditional practices across various industries.

The team’s first patented creation, the ‘Twist Ease Clean (TEC)’ tank, presents an innovative method for cleaning water tanks. With a central twisting mechanism inspired by bottle cap threading, the TEC tank ensures even weight distribution and stable handling. This design greatly reduces the torque and force needed for lifting and carrying the tank, improving both safety and efficiency for users.

The TEC tank includes user-friendly features such as strategically placed handles for better grip and leverage, making it easier to access the tank’s interior for cleaning. By removing the need for individuals to enter confined spaces during maintenance, this design reduces the risks associated with traditional cleaning methods, including injuries and exposure to harmful substances. Additionally, the tank’s removable half section further enhances safety during maintenance.

The inventors of the TEC tank include Jehangir Hameed Lone, Syed Kashif Jeelani Alvi, Sajid Noor, Umhara Rasool, Dr. Javaid Ahmad Sheikh, Dr. Abdul Mueed Hafiz, and Saqlain Mushtaq, demonstrating a collaborative effort to drive innovation and address industry challenges.

Previously, another team of KU innovators received a Design Registration for their patented “Starch-Free Rice Cooker.” This electro-mechanical device modernizes traditional rice cooking by removing starch, catering to the dietary needs of diabetics. The cooker also features a remote cooking option, enabling real-time monitoring of the rice’s starch levels via text message, adding a new level of convenience to culinary technology.
