BJP Workers from North Kashmir Protest out of Sher-e-Kashmir stadium Srinagar After Being Denied Entry to Modi’s Rally

BJP supporters and workers from north Kashmir held a brief protest when they were not allowed by the security grid to enter the venue for Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s election rally here after they reached late.

The protesters claimed that they were not allowed to enter the Sher-e-Kashmir stadium at Sonawar as they had arrived at the venue later than the time given to them.

“Many people have come from Tangdhar, Pharkian Top and Baramulla. However, the injustice is that we could not reach here on time. We reached at 10.45 am but the security personnel did not allow us,” one of the BJP workers said.

Modi arrived at the election rally few minutes after noon but the gates to the venue were closed at 10 am for security reasons.“What was the fun of coming here? We incurred expenses, left our work as we wanted to see and listen to Modi, but it was not in our fate.

“The BJP government is our own government and we are BJP workers. I am vice president of Trehgam constituency and I brought my workers here in dozens of vehicles but we are not being allowed,” he claimed.Another man from Kupwara said they had come from far flung areas and were late as the roads are not good in their area.

“We are from a far flung area and there are no roads in such places. If there is a road, then getting a vehicle is difficult and we have to walk.“We were so excited to come here to see Modi. I am a worker of the BJP. We were stopped at the gate,” he said.Mudasir Ahmad, BJP district secretary, Kupwara, said the workers had risked their lives to come to the rally.

“We came here risking our lives. I brought 50 vehicles but am standing on the road. We came to catch a glimpse of Modi ji and listen to him,” he said.Ahmad said they left their livelihood to meet the prime minister. But there was no use coming here, he said.“If there was no space, then they should not have invited the people. We were better off at home then. This is not right,” he added.

BJP Spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari challenged Congress to explain its position on Article 370

Pradeep Bhandari

BJP spokesperson Pradeep Bhandari launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party on Thursday. His comments followed BJP President JP Nadda’s letter and a statement by Pakistan’s Defense Minister Khawaja Asif, who claimed that the Congress party and the National Conference are aligned with Pakistan’s interests regarding the restoration of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir.

Bhandari accused the Congress of failure to address numerous insults directed at Prime Minister Narendra Modi and of displaying double standards and anti-national behaviour.

Speaking to ANI, Bhandari said, “Whatever JP Nadda has written is what the people of the country are also saying: Rahul Gandhi is a failed product.” He argued that the Congress party has repeatedly abused PM Modi without condemnation. “The country knows that Congress has abused PM Modi many times… But did Congress condemn all this?”

He highlighted past incidents where Congress leaders used derogatory language against Modi, including the term “maut ke saudagar” used by Sonia Gandhi, and criticised the party for justifying rather than condemning such remarks.

Bhandari added, “Rahul Gandhi was talking about inciting violence against Prime Minister Narendra Modi from a public forum, saying he would be beaten with a stick, a ‘Gutter-Ka-Keera’ (dirty drain worm) would be cut into pieces.”

Bhandari also questioned Congress’s stance on nationalism and its ties with anti-national elements. He said, “Today, it has been established from Nadda ji’s letter that the product the Congress party is trying to launch has failed in 2014, 2019, failed in 2024, and will fail in 2029 as well.”

Furthermore, Bhandari condemned Congress for allegedly aligning with Pakistan’s interests. He referred to comments by Pakistan’s Defense Minister about Congress’s position on Article 370 and accused the party of collaborating with Pakistan. “When Article 370 was in force, Pakistan used to spread terror in Jammu and Kashmir.

Today, it is clear that Pakistan is using Congress and the National Conference as a front,” Bhandari said.

He also challenged Congress to explain its position on Article 370 and its perceived alignment with Pakistan, adding, “Congress party and the National Conference want Jammu and Kashmir to go back to the dark days when separatism was the norm.”(ANI)

Owais Manzoor Kashmiri Youth Become First Pilot From Handwara

A young man from Handwara has successfully achieved his childhood dream of becoming a pilot, securing a job with Air India after years of dedication and training. The young pilot has a remarkable journey, which saw him transition from humble beginnings in Kashmir to the skies of India.

Owais Manzoor, 21, from Hanjishart village, began his early education at Welkin School in Sopore and studied there until the 8th grade before moving to Handwara Public School to complete his secondary education.“After finishing class 10, I joined Boys Higher Secondary School in Handwara for my class 12 studies,” he recalled.

Following his higher secondary education, the aspiring pilot opened up to his parents about his dream of pursuing aviation. “My parents were incredibly supportive of my goals. They understood my passion and immediately sent me to Delhi for my initial training, which included ground training,” he said.

After completing his TGC exams, he continued his training in Karnataka at the Redwood Flighting Academy. There, he underwent 200 hours of intensive flight training, specialising in Jet Engine A320 preparation, an essential component of his future airline career.“I applied for a vacancy with Air India, and fortunately, I cleared it,” the pilot revealed with pride.

His father, Manzoor Ahmad Sheikh, an engineer, told reporters that though he wanted his son to pursue a particular path in his career he had decided for himself. “While I got him books, he silently got Mathematics books and took it as a subject,” he said. “Then he confided of his dream and reluctantly I agreed because I had no idea of this field.”

While the aviation industry is often perceived as unconventional in a region where most families traditionally push their children towards careers in medicine, engineering, or teaching, the young pilot’s story stands out. “It was my childhood dream to become a pilot,” he said. “I’ve always been drawn to careers that are a little out of the box, and my cousins have also pursued unconventional paths, which gave me the green light to go for it.”

With unwavering support from his family and a clear sense of direction, this Kashmiri youth is now living his dream, soaring above the clouds, and inspiring others in the valley to follow their unique ambitions.
