Narendera Modi Forgets “Kaam ki baat” No one is listening his“Mun Ki Baat”: Rahul Gandhi

Senior Congress leader and Leader of Opposition (LoP) Rahul Gandhi today took a jibe at Prime Minister Narendera Modi for talking about “man ki baat” and forgetting the “kaam ki baat” stating that J&K was not only downgraded to a UT but “this place is now ruled by outsiders against the wishes of people.”

Addressing a massive rally in the Central –Shalteng constituency of Srinagar, Rahul Gandhi  said that J&K has not only been reduced to a UT from being a State but it has been ruled by the “outsiders directly.” “The Lieutenant Governor is Raja who is working against the wishes of people here. He doesn’t know how to work,” Rahul said.

He took a dig at PM Modi for talking high in his “Man ki baat” but forgetting the “Kaam ki baat. ” “Kaam Ki baat means to address the unemployment and to restore Statehood in J&K,” Rahul said, adding that the fact is nobody listens to man ki baat of PM Modi now.

He said before Lok Sabha polls, it was stated that Modi has a 56 inch chest. Earlier, he would speak with chest spread but INDIA alliance managed to break Modi’s psychology. Modi’s confidence is lost. He is the Modi of earlier days,” Rahul said.

“I see him very closely in the Lok Sabha while people see him on TV. His mood has changed and his face has changed. Credit goes to INDIA alliance for this,” he said.

He said BJP leaders spread hatred and pitched brother against brother. “They have spread hatred across the country. Hatred is not dealt with Hatred but with love,” Rahul said.

From Kanyakumari to Kashmir, Rahul said, he walked 4000 kms. “Wherever BJP had opened the shops of hatred, we closed them and opened the shops of love. We will continue to do the same,” he said as per KNO

He said this is for the first time that J&K as a state was downgraded to a UT. “We had seen UTs being converted into States. “We want Statehood to be restored as soon as possible so that J&K becomes a State again,” he said. “We wanted this to happen before elections but BJP didn’t.”

He said Congress will build pressure on BJP to restore the Statehood post polls. “If they don’t do it. I guarantee you that we will do it as it is your democratic right,” said Rahul.—(KNO)

Political Parties Are Competitors Not Enemies: DPAP chief Ghulam Nabi Azad

Ghulam Nabi Azad

Ahead of the second and third phases of assembly elections in Jammu and Kashmir, Democratic Progressive Azad Party Chief Ghulam Nabi Azad called leaders of political parties his competitors, adding that he does not consider them enemies.

“The political parties are not my enemies; they are our competitors. Like in class, we are all good friends but there is a competition…So I take every political party and leader as my competitor,” Democratic Progressive Azad Party Chairman Ghulam Nabi Azad said while doing a roadshow in Ganderbal in view of the Assembly elections in Union Territory.

Speaking to media persons, he further said, “When I made the party (DPAP) and had my first party meeting, I said that I fought bravely for Article 370 and statehood…Nobody in the Parliament knew until I said that Article 35A was a pre independence thing…”

Jammu and Kashmir is voting for its 90-member assembly in three phases. The first phase of voting took place on September 18.

Notably, a voter turnout of 61.13 pc was registered in the first phase of polling in the Jammu and Kashmir assembly polls, which were held in 24 constituencies in seven districts on September 18.

Earlier, Farooq Abdullah referenced Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad’s remarks in the Rajya Sabha, which compared Jammu and Kashmir’s development to that of Gujarat, emphasizing that significant progress was made while Article 370 was in effect.

“When Ghulam Nabi Azad compared two states in the Rajya Sabha the numbers showed that J&K was much above Gujarat…The governments here did it and they did it when Article 370 was in effect. We made progress. But what development did they give us in these years? Were prices reduced, and unemployment reduced?…Don’t wait till the last bullet is off. Take the bull by the horns. I want to ask the Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Did they remove terrorism?” Abdullah said.

Voting for the second and third phases in J-K will be held on September 25 and October 1, respectively. Votes will be counted on October 8. (ANI)

UP Girl’s Rape in Ram Mandir, Farooq Abdullah Questions Silence of PM Modi and Home Minister

Jammu and Kashmir National Conference president Farooq Abdullah has accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah and UP chief Minister Yogi Adityanath of keeping mum on the rape of a Schedule Caste girl in Ram Mandir.

Farooq Abdullah said that the girl has been raped inside Ram Mandir but did you hear any statement from PM, did you hear anything from HM, who is sitting in Jammu or from UP CM. “Isn’t she our sister, isn’t she our daughter? How many times will they become target? Then they will claim to be protector,” the NC president asked and said, “They can’t protect anybody. They can only protect their chair.”

Farooq Abdullah was in Budhal to support party candidate Javed Choudhary on the last date of campaigning for the second phase of election. NC’s Choudhary is facing tough competition from Bharatiya Janta Party’s (BJP) Choudhary Zulfiqar, who recently switched to BJP.

Targeting BJP for terming NC and Article 370 responsible for terrorism in J&K, Farooq Abdullah said, “For the last five years Article 370 is not there but has terrorism come down. Look what happened in Kishtwar yesterday. Why is it happening now?”

Replying to a query whether Article 370 will be restored in J&K or not, he said, “It is a legal battle. Earlier two judgments of Supreme Court termed it permanent but the recent judgment termed it temporary. We will continue to fight this legal battle till it is restored.”

Commenting on BJP’s remarks of NC to take back ST status of Paharis, Farooq Abdullah said, “BJP ruled for 10 years and why they didn’t give the ST status to Paharis during that time. Why it was that ST status was given ahead of the parliamentary elections. Pahari people know this and they will not fell into their trap.”—(KNO)
