Rajouri: The Indian Army on Tuesday said that one terrorist was killed after troops foiled an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Jhangar area of Nowshera sector in Rajouri district.
In a post on X, the Army’s White Knight Corps said that acting on credible intelligence inputs, the movement of two terrorists was detected near the LoC in the Jhangar area at around 3 PM on March 10.

“In the ensuing encounter, one Pakistan-sponsored terrorist was eliminated, effectively preventing any breach of the Line of Control,” the Army said.
Security forces have now launched a search operation to locate the second terrorist, while maintaining strict surveillance in the area using integrated ground and aerial monitoring systems.
The Army added that a strong operational posture and high alert continue across the sector to prevent any further infiltration attempts.
