According to the student association, some students reported that they had to move underground into a basement after an attack occurred near Darvaze-ye Shirazi, an area close to their hostel. Distress calls were again received on the night of March 7 and the morning of March 8, as the situation in the region remains tense.

Students from Qom, including those studying at Tehran University of Medical Sciences, Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences, and Iran University of Medical Sciences, also reported being relocated after nearby residential buildings were targeted. The incident has left many students extremely frightened.

Meanwhile, students staying in Kerman informed the association that their food supplies are running low, which has further increased anxiety among those stranded there. Students in Shiraz also reported hearing explosions near their residential areas.

Amid growing concern for the students’ safety, parents of the stranded students held a protest at Pratap Park, demanding that the Government of India immediately evacuate their children and ensure their safe return home.

Dr. Mohammad Momin Khan, representing AIMSA, expressed serious concern about the safety of Indian students in Iran. He urged the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) to take urgent action to evacuate the students from the affected areas.
