Police Crackdown in Pulwama: Five Notorious Drug Peddlers Arrested
In its ongoing efforts to eliminate the drug problem in society, the police have apprehended five notorious drug peddlers in Pulwama, recovering a significant amount of contraband from their possession.
A police spokesperson reported that a team from Police Station Pulwama, while patrolling in Chiterpora, detained five individuals under suspicious circumstances. Upon searching them, authorities discovered 15 bottles of a substance resembling Codeine Phosphate. The individuals have been identified as Irshad Ahmad Reshi, son of Wali Mohammad Reshi from Chiterpora; Tariq Ahmad Bhat, son of Ali Mohammad Bhat from Trichil; Amir Ashraf, son of Mohd Ashraf Dar from Pampore; Mohd Salman Mir, son of Mohd Abdullah Mir from Tenghard; and Bilal Ahmad Bhat, son of Ali Mohammad Bhat from Mitrigam. All five have been arrested and are currently in custody at the police station.
“A case has been registered under FIR number 120/2024 with the relevant sections of the law at Police Station Pulwama, and the investigation is underway,” stated the spokesperson.
