Jeet Adani and Diva Jaimin Shah Set to Tie the Knot in a Low-Key, Traditional Ceremony in Ahmedabad
Jeet Adani, the younger son of industrialist Gautam Adani, is getting married to Diva Jaimin Shah in a simple and traditional ceremony today in Ahmedabad. The couple, who got engaged in March 2023, will celebrate their big day in a quiet and private way, focusing on family and cultural traditions.
The wedding celebrations began on February 5 with pre-wedding events, and today, the main ceremony will take place at Shantigram, the Adani family’s township in Ahmedabad. The wedding will follow Jain and Gujarati customs, with rituals starting at 2 pm.
Gautam Adani, the well-known chairman of the Adani Group, has made it clear that the wedding will not be a grand, celebrity-filled event. He has said that the ceremony will be simple, focusing on family, tradition, and the values he and his family hold dear. This message came after rumours about global celebrities attending the wedding, including pop star Taylor Swift. Adani emphasized that the wedding would remain a low-key family affair, in line with his upbringing as a “common person from the working class.”
The couple has also decided to use their wedding to highlight important social causes. They are partnering with the NGO Family of Disabled (FOD) to support people with disabilities. Fashion designer Manish Malhotra has designed special shawls for the couple, with the help of the NGO. The couple has also pledged to donate Rs 10 lakh each for the wedding of 500 women with disabilities every year. This initiative aims to bring attention to the needs of the disabled community and make a positive social impact.
Jeet Adani, a director at Adani Airports, is known for his efforts to support social causes, especially those related to disabilities. He met 21 newlywed women with disabilities and their husbands earlier this week to launch the new initiative. Jeet’s commitment to helping others is also inspired by his mother, Priti Adani, who has turned the Adani Foundation into an important force for change in India.
Diva Jaimin Shah, who comes from a family involved in the diamond business, is the daughter of Jaimin Shah, a diamond merchant. Her family runs a well-known diamond manufacturing company in Mumbai and Surat.
