Central University of Kashmir Starts 4-Day Hindi Training Programme for Staff at Tulmulla Campus

The Central University of Kashmir has started a four-day Hindi training programme for employees at its Tulmulla campus. The programme is being held under the university’s Rajbhasha Cell as part of its Hindi language learning initiative.

While opening the programme, Registrar Dr. Nisar Ahmad Mir praised the participation of representatives from several institutions. He said such programmes help build stronger ties between institutions and create useful opportunities for learning and sharing ideas.

He added that nearly six institutions are taking part, showing the importance of the programme in the region.

Dr. Mir also appreciated the efforts of the Rajbhasha Cell for organising the event. He said Hindi is becoming more important in official communication and employees should learn to read, write, and speak the language confidently.

The main resource person, Dr. Rameshwar Lal Meena, Assistant Director (Languages) at the Central Hindi Training Institute, explained the structure of Hindi courses offered by the Government of India.

He said the courses include Hindi Prabodh, Praveen, Pragya, and Parangat, which are designed to gradually improve language skills among government employees.

Dr. Meena said the programme is not only about learning Hindi but also about improving office work, confidence, and transparency. He added that using Hindi helps direct communication with citizens and supports a more responsive governance system.

During the inaugural session, university Librarian Dr. Nazir Ahmad Bhat said Hindi is becoming more important in governance and institutional communication.He encouraged employees to use both online and offline learning tools to improve their Hindi skills and meet the growing need for official correspondence in Hindi.

Hindi Adhikari Dr. Sakina Akhter, who conducted the programme, explained the work of the Rajbhasha Cell. She said many employees are now able to handle official communication in Hindi after proper training.

She added that the Cell regularly organises orientation programmes to help staff become fully familiar with the Hindi language.Assistant Registrar EEW Mr. Ajaz Ahmad presented the vote of thanks at the end of the session.
