IUST Organises Musical Concert to Promote Drug-Free Society Under Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan

The event was held at the Nundreshi Auditorium in collaboration with the Office of the Provosts (Girls and Boys) and the Proctor Office. It was attended by senior university officials, faculty members, staff and a large number of students.

The programme was chaired by Registrar Prof. Shamim Ahmad Shah, who praised the organisers for using cultural activities to spread awareness among young people.

In his address, Prof. Shah encouraged students to become ambassadors of positive change and play an active role in building a healthy, responsible and drug-free society.

The programme began with a welcome address by Dean of Students Dr Monisa Qadri, who explained the objectives of IUST’s Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan. She stressed the importance of involving young people in creative and cultural activities as an effective way to prevent substance abuse while preserving the region’s rich cultural traditions.

The highlight of the event was a lively performance by the Irfan Bilal Band, which entertained the audience with songs carrying messages of hope, positivity and social responsibility. The concert encouraged students to use their talents and creativity to contribute towards a better and drug-free society.

Students of IUST also showcased their musical talents through impressive performances before welcoming the Irfan Bilal Band on stage.

The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr Farhana Mehraj Allai, who appreciated everyone involved in making the event a success.
