In a weather update, Mir said conditions are likely to improve gradually by late afternoon, bringing some relief after persistent rainfall in many parts of the Union Territory.
Meanwhile, the Meteorological Centre Srinagar has forecast rain and thundershowers at many places across Jammu and Kashmir from July 25 to July 27.
The weather department has also warned that a few areas, particularly in the Jammu division, may experience brief spells of heavy rain during the morning hours.
Looking ahead, the MeT Centre has predicted another wet spell from July 28 to July 31, with fresh rainfall expected across several parts of the Union Territory.
Residents, especially those living in vulnerable areas, are advised to remain alert and follow official weather advisories, as heavy rainfall could lead to waterlogging, flash floods in low-lying areas, and landslides in hilly regions. Travellers are also advised to check the latest weather and road conditions before planning their journeys.
