Nusrath Fathima, daughter of Dr G Abdul Huq, completed her doctoral research on “Feature Extraction and Classification of Digital Image Using Deep Learning”.

Her research was conducted under the supervision of Prof Pradeep Kumar, Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Information Technology at MANUU.

Research focuses on deep learning and digital images

Nusrath Fathima’s doctoral research focuses on the use of deep learning techniques for extracting features from digital images and accurately classifying them.

Feature extraction is an important component of image analysis, allowing computer systems to identify and process significant characteristics within images. Deep learning methods can help improve the ability of computer systems to recognise patterns and classify visual information.

Her research contributes to the wider field of artificial intelligence, computer vision and digital image processing.

Academic achievement

The award of the PhD marks a significant academic achievement for Nusrath Fathima and reflects her research work in the field of computer science.

Her successful completion of the doctoral programme also adds to MANUU’s academic and research contributions in emerging areas of computing and artificial intelligence.

The university congratulated Nusrath Fathima on her achievement and wished her success in her future academic and professional endeavours.
