BGSBU University Polytechnic Organises Udyam Jagriti 5.0
University Polytechnic, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), successfully organised Udyam Jagriti 5.0, a campaign under Mission Yuva aimed at raising awareness among Polytechnic students about entrepreneurship, innovation, start-ups and government support schemes. Around 150 students, along with Programme Coordinators and staff members of University Polytechnic, participated in the programme.
Vice Chancellor of BGSBU, Prof. Jawaid Iqbal, congratulated University Polytechnic for successfully conducting the programme and appreciated the initiative to encourage entrepreneurial thinking and innovation among students.
Registrar BGSBU, Shri Ravi Kumar Sihag, also praised the efforts of University Polytechnic and described the programme as a meaningful and student-focused initiative.
Students Learn About Entrepreneurship and Start-ups
The programme began with a welcome address by Er. Mohd. Rafiq, Programme Coordinator, DEE, who welcomed the participants and highlighted the importance of developing entrepreneurial awareness among Polytechnic students.
A video presentation on Udyam Jagriti 5.0 was then shown, giving students an overview of the campaign and its key objectives.
This was followed by a detailed presentation by Dr. Shafqat Mughal, who spoke about entrepreneurship, start-up opportunities and the potential available to young people in Jammu & Kashmir.
He encouraged students to use local resources, skills and innovative ideas to develop sustainable businesses and enterprises.
Government Schemes Explained to Students
The students were also addressed by Mr Karan Gupta, BHD, District Administration Rajouri, who provided information about various government schemes, support mechanisms and opportunities available to aspiring entrepreneurs.
He encouraged students to come forward with innovative business ideas and make effective use of assistance provided through government initiatives.
An interactive feedback session was also held, allowing students to share their experiences, learning outcomes and suggestions following the programme.
Programme Concludes with Vote of Thanks
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr Neetan Sharma, Placement Coordinator, University Polytechnic BGSBU.
He expressed gratitude to the university authorities, District Administration, resource persons, Programme Coordinators, staff members and students for their participation and support.
The programme reinforced the message that Polytechnic students can pursue careers not only as skilled professionals and job seekers but also as innovative entrepreneurs and job creators.
The initiative also highlighted the potential of young people to contribute to the economic development of Jammu & Kashmir through entrepreneurship, innovation and new business ventures.
