IUST Hosts Street Play to Raise Awareness Against Drug Abuse
Islamic University of Science and Technology organised a powerful Nukkad Natak (Street Play) at its main lawns under the national campaign Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan to create awareness about the dangers of drug abuse.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
The programme was organised by the Office of the Dean of Students through its Cultural Affairs Committee in collaboration with the Centre for Mental Health and Wellness, Provost Offices, Proctor Office, and the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication.
Strong Message Against Drug Abuse
The short but impactful street play attracted a large audience, including faculty members, university officials, students, research scholars and staff members.
Through an engaging performance, the participants highlighted the harmful effects of drug addiction and encouraged young people to stay away from substance abuse.
University Officials Praise the Initiative
The event was attended by Registrar Prof. Shamim Ahmad Shah and Dean of Academic Affairs Prof. Sheikh Ajaz Bashir as special guests.
Prof. Shamim Ahmad Shah stressed the importance of student activities in creating a healthy and positive campus environment. He assured support for such initiatives to ensure constructive engagement of youth.
Prof. Sheikh Ajaz Bashir congratulated the organisers and said that co-curricular activities play a vital role in building a vibrant university atmosphere.
