Pulwama: 70-Year-Old Woman Allegedly Murdered at Home in Parigam

Pulwama: A 70-year-old woman was allegedly murdered by unidentified assailants inside her home in Parigam village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district early on Monday, officials said.

According to an official, the assailants allegedly entered the house and slit the woman’s throat, killing her on the spot. She was later found lying in a pool of blood.

The deceased was identified as Jana Begum, 70, wife of late Ghulam Ahmad Bhat, the official said.

The motive behind the alleged murder remains unclear.

Police have taken cognisance of the incident and launched an investigation to identify those responsible and establish the circumstances surrounding the killing.
