The shooting has raised fresh concerns about security in Mumbai’s film industry after an audio message emerged in which a man claiming to represent the Lawrence Bishnoi gang allegedly took responsibility for the attack and issued threats against people working with actor Salman Khan.

Tiger Shroff’s Car Targeted in Mumbai Shooting

According to reports, the incident took place in Mumbai’s Juhu area on Sunday evening when Tiger Shroff was reportedly leaving a football ground.

Three men riding a motorcycle allegedly opened fire near the actor’s car. While Shroff escaped without injury, his driver was reportedly shot in the hand.

The identities of the attackers and the motive behind the shooting remain under investigation.

Audio Message Allegedly Claims Bishnoi Gang Responsibility

An audio message that surfaced after the incident featured a man identifying himself as Anil Pandit and claiming to represent the Lawrence Bishnoi gang.

In the recording, the speaker allegedly claimed that Tiger Shroff had been targeted because he had ignored the gang’s instructions and continued working with Salman Khan.

The man also reportedly threatened members of the Hindi film industry who work with Khan, warning of further attacks.

The authenticity of the audio message and the speaker’s claimed connection to the gang have not been independently established.

Salman Khan Previously Targeted in Threats

Salman Khan has faced repeated threats attributed to jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and people allegedly associated with his gang.

The threats have been linked to the actor’s 1998 blackbuck hunting case, which Bishnoi has cited as an offence against the Bishnoi community, which regards the animal as sacred.

In 2023, the National Investigation Agency (NIA) identified Khan among the main targets allegedly planned by Bishnoi, citing the blackbuck case as a key reason behind the hostility.

The latest incident has renewed concerns about threats against people associated with the actor and the wider Hindi film industry.

Maharashtra CM Seeks Details of Shooting

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis spoke to the Mumbai Police Commissioner to obtain details about the firing incident.

The Commissioner was directed to speed up the investigation and take strict action against those responsible.

Police are investigating the shooting, while the identities of the suspects and the authenticity of the alleged audio message remain key questions in the case.Tighten the report for clarityAdd a stronger breaking-news structure
