BGSBU Rajouri Concludes Advanced Research Training

A week-long advanced research training programme for students and a faculty member from the Central University of Punjab concluded successfully at the Department of Zoology, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU).

The programme was held from April 24 to May 1, 2026, at the research laboratory of Dr. A. A. Shah, focusing on modern techniques in nematode genomics.

Hands-On Training in Advanced Research

Participants received practical training in:

  • Modern laboratory techniques
  • Sample processing methods
  • Data analysis and interpretation
  • Advanced genomics research approaches

The programme aimed to provide real research exposure and strengthen scientific skills among students.

Students praised the academic environment and research culture at BGSBU, describing it as highly supportive and innovative.

They especially highlighted the Nematode Genomics Research Laboratory, established in 2007, as a leading centre for research and learning within the university.
