The Travel Agents Association of Kashmir (TAAK) held its executive committee meeting in Pahalgam, chaired by President Rauf A Tramboo.
The committee focused on organizing B2B networking opportunities for members in domestic and international markets, particularly for the winter season.
The EC discussed feedback from the recent FAM trip to Gurez and the Annual General Meeting in Srinagar. A report was presented by Events Committee Chairman Ghulam Nabi Bhat.
The EC emphasized its commitment to environmental preservation, appointing social activist Manzoor Wangnoo as Chairman of the Environment Subcommittee. The committee resolved that TAAK would plant one million trees in the coming years as part of its environmental initiatives.
The meeting took place at The Vale Lodge. During the two-day visit to Pahalgam, TAAK held sessions with local hotel properties, including Hermitage, Forest Resort Pahalgam, Cottages by Mehtab Resorts, and Hotel Hilltop. TAAK encouraged improvements in service quality for tourists during these discussions.
The trip included participation from executive committee members and former presidents, including Peerzada Faiyaz Ahamad, Ashfaq Siddiq Dug, and Farooq Kuthoo, along with several special invitees. Secretary General Sajad Ahmad Kralyari also attended, facilitating collaboration with local stakeholders and planning for the future.(KNS).
