Hizbul Mujahideen OGW arrested along with arms and ammunition in Pulwama: Police
Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested Over Ground Workers (OGW) of Hizbul Mujahideen terror outfit and recovered arms and ammunition in Jammu and Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
A Police spokesperson said, “on 2nd November 2024 during the investigation of FIR no 224/ 2024 under section 4/5 explosive act and 18,39 of UAP Act of PS Pulwama, A joint team of Pulwama police , 55RR and 182 CRPF arrested a hardcore OGW of Hizbul mujahideen namely Sajad Ahmed Dar S/O Nazeer Ahmed Dar R/O Tahab, Pulwama from Dangerpora, Pulwama. ”
“The arrested OGW Sajad Ahmed Dar disclosed the location inside his shop where he had kept hidden 01 pistol ,01 magazine with 12 rounds and 2 live Grenades which were then recovered and seized on the spot”, he said.
It is pertinent to mention here that on 29 Oct 2024 an OGW of Hizbul Mujahideen namely Danish Bashir Ahangar was already arrested in the case, and on his disclosure, further arrests and subsequent seizures were made.
