2 Militants killed in Ongoing Gunfight in Shangus Larnoo forest Anantnag

 

In an ongoing encounter, two unidentified militants have been killed in the Shangus Larnoo forest area of South Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

As per reports the operation, which began early Saturday, involves police and security forces acting on specific intelligence about the presence of militants in the area.

A police official said that, “Two militants have been killed so far as the operation is underway in the forest area of Shangus Larnoo.One more suspect is believed to be trapped in the vicinity.” Security forces continue to engage with caution as they search the forest terrain.

It is notable that an encounter is also currently underway in Srinagar, marking a rare armed confrontation in the capital city after nearly three years. In addition, a massive cordon-and-search operation (CASO) is ongoing in the Bandipora district. (KNS)
