The Peoples’ Democratic Party (PDP) president and former chief minister Mehbooba Mufti on Thursday urged government to look into the “abrupt rise” in terror activities across Jammu and Kashmir.
The PDP president was talking to reporters in Sumbal Bandipora where she paid a visit to the family of Abida, who was critically wounded in Srinagar’s TRC grenade blast and succumbed to her injuries afterwards.
“It is painful incident. The deceased lady left three minor kids behind. We are seeing such violent incidents from last 30-35 years, which left a big chunk of our children orphan and females widow,” Mehbooba said.
Expressing her surprise over rise in terror activities, the PDP president Mehbooba Mufti said that government should look into why terror incidents have witnessed “abrupt rise” after formation of government in Jammu & Kashmir.
“Government should investigate who is doing such acts and expose the elements behind it,” she added.She continued that government should look into whether there is any security lapse issue,
