National Conference vice-president, Omar Abdullah, expressed confidence that adversaries would face a significant blow in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections in Jammu and Kashmir. Speaking to reporters in Srinagar, Abdullah asserted that plans orchestrated from the Central Government to Raj Bhawan would be thwarted by the people on polling days.
Abdullah emphasized that despite concerted efforts by various entities, including the Central Government, Raj Bhawan, and the BJP, along with their affiliated groups, to devise strategies against the National Conference, these schemes would encounter a major setback during the elections.
“Central Government, Raj Bhawan, BJP, their A, B, and C teams are consistently drafting plans against us, but their designs will get a big jolt in the ongoing Lok Sabha elections in Jammu and Kashmir,” Abdullah stated as per KNS.
Drawing inspiration from Dr. Sir Mohammad Iqbal’s couplet, “Fanoos Ban Kar Jis Ki Hifazat Hawa Kare, Woh Shama Hi Kya Buje Jise Roshan Khuda Kare” (A lamp protected by the wind, what is a candle that God himself illuminates), Abdullah affirmed that despite efforts to weaken the National Conference, their adversaries’ ill intentions would be thwarted with resilience.
“They want to extinguish NC’s candle but it is impossible; it will remain lit up,” Abdullah added confidently.
Abdullah’s remarks underscore the political climate in Jammu and Kashmir amid the ongoing Lok Sabha elections, where parties are vying for electoral supremacy. His assertion of confidence reflects the National Conference’s determination to withstand challenges and emerge victorious in the electoral process.
