“On the fifth anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370, which took place on August 5, 2019, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) organized a grand “Ekatma Mahotsav Rally” at Bana Singh Stadium in RS Pura, Jammu & Kashmir. The rally marked the beginning of a new chapter focused on development, peace, and progress in the region.
Prominent BJP leaders, including Union Minister Kishan Reddy Gangapuram, BJP National General Secretary Sh. Tarun Chugh, J&K BJP President Sh. Ravinder Raina, and others addressed the gathering. They urged the people of Jammu & Kashmir to wholeheartedly support the BJP in the upcoming Assembly Elections. Their goal is to promote development, enhance infrastructure, and establish sustainable and lasting peace in the region.
During the rally, Sh. Kishan Reddy Gangapuram emphasized the challenges faced by Jammu & Kashmir due to the Abdullah family and Pakistan. He credited the strong leadership of PM Modi and HM Sh. Amit Shah for the historic decision to abrogate Article 370. This move aligned J&K with the Indian Constitution, marking a significant milestone in the region’s development.
Under the Modi government, the focus has shifted from terrorism to tourism in Jammu & Kashmir. Sh. G. Kishan Reddy highlighted the strengthening of democracy, with rights extended to SCs, STs, OBCs, and Pahris post Article 370’s abrogation.
Sh. Tarun Chugh paid tribute to Dr. Shyama Prasad Mookherjee, emphasizing the BJP’s commitment to unifying J&K with the rest of India. He praised PM Narendra Modi for implementing the Constitution in the region. The BJP continues to work on development, trust-building, and security in Jammu & Kashmir.
