Jammu and Kashmir DGP RR Swain declared a significant breakthrough for security forces, as six terrorists were eliminated in two separate encounters in Kulgam district. According to the DGP, these encounters took place at different locations and have resulted in the neutralization of six terrorists. He emphasized the importance of these successes in bolstering the security situation and stated that such achievements play a crucial role in eradicating terrorism.
Swain highlighted that ongoing operations are still active and emphasized the involvement of local terrorists. Furthermore, defense officials confirmed that two Indian Army soldiers lost their lives during these operations.
The first encounter occurred in Modergam village, followed by another intense exchange between terrorists and security forces later on at Frisal Chinnigam area. These developments mark a significant advancement for security forces combating terrorism in Jammu & Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
