As soon as news of the fire incident in the Bohri Kadal area of Shahr-e-Khaas broke, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, promptly arrived at the scene. He personally oversaw the rescue efforts and the firefighting operations to minimize the damage.
SSP Srinagar, Aashish Mishra, along with other senior district administration officers, accompanied the DC.
At the site, the DC expressed his solidarity and sympathy with the affected families, promising immediate assistance. He directed his staff to provide all necessary support to those impacted by the fire.
The DC stated that fire tenders were quickly deployed to prevent the fire from spreading and to protect lives. He instructed officials to assess the damage to the structures and provide prompt aid to the victims.
Expressing his shock at the extent of the damage, he assured that the District Administration would offer all possible assistance to the affected families.
