Terrorist Killed in Ongoing Anti-Infiltration Operation in Uri, Army Reports

On Sunday, the Army reported the death of a terrorist during an ongoing anti-infiltration operation in Uri, located along the Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district.

In a post on X, the Army’s Chinar Corps announced, “One terrorist has been killed in the ongoing anti-infiltration operation launched on June 22 in the Uri Sector; operations are continuing.” The encounter began yesterday evening after the Army thwarted an infiltration attempt along the LoC in the Gohallan area of Uri.

Security forces detected a group of terrorists trying to infiltrate the LoC in Gohallan, Uri. The forces confronted the group, successfully foiling the infiltration attempt.
