Kupwara Hosts Cultural Tribute for Police Commemoration Day and Police Flag Day

As part of the ongoing observance of Police Commemoration Day 2024 and Police Flag Day, District Police Kupwara conducted a  Cultural Programme at the District Police Lines (DPL) Kupwara.

The event was a heartfelt tribute to the martyrs who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty, while also celebrating the unity and cultural diversity of the region through a series of captivating performances.

The Cultural Programme featured powerful skits, which paid homage to the bravery and dedication of the police personnel who laid down their lives for the security of the nation. These emotional performances evoked a deep sense of respect for the fallen heroes. The event also included stirring patriotic songs and vibrant local folk songs, highlighting the rich cultural heritage of and promoting a strong sense of community.

The event was attended by a large gathering of local residents, along with senior and subordinate officers/officials of District Police Kupwara.The audience expressed their appreciation for the meaningful performances and extended their gratitude to the police force for organizing such an inspiring event.

Speaking on the occasion, Gh Mohd Bhat-JKPS, Addl SP Kupwara, emphasized the importance of remembering the sacrifices made by police personnel and reiterated the district police’s commitment to maintaining peace and security.

At the conclusion of the Cultural Programme, mementos, cash prizes, and certificates were distributed among the participating cultural troupes from various schools, in recognition of their contribution to the event.

Raies Ahmad, DySP PC Lolab, Syed Mujahid-ul-Haq, DySP DAR Kupwara, and other officers and officials of District Police Kupwara were also present at the event.(KNS)
